- Summary
- Two brothers, who managed to escape a Soviet work camp, are unable to leave one other. Whilst they love each other, they simultaneously harbour feelings of hate; one of them is an artist and a dreamer, the other is a pragmatic scientist, they are like fire and water. Throughout their complex lives they've come to rely on one another; in the Stalinist work camp, in communist Russia and then, after repatriation, in capitalist Poland. 'Brothers' and director Wojciech Staroń tells their story and illustrates the trials and tribulations of their relationship.
