Summary
Through archival footage and contemporary interviews, the film tells the stories of the most prominent figures of the democratic opposition. They openly expressed their dissent with the authoritarian Kádár-regime, published in underground publications and raised their voice against the oppressive communist regime. The filmmakers interviewed Tamás Bauer, Gábor Demszky, Alajos Dornbach, Miklós Haraszti, Róza Hodosán, Gábor Iványi, Miklós Jancsó, György Konrád, Judit lakner, Júlia Lángh, Bálint Magyar, Imre Mécs, László Rajk, Miklós Tamás Gáspár, Pál Tamás, István Szent-Iványi. Dénes Csengery, György Cserhalmi, János Kis, Ottilia Solt and Péter Tölgyesi are presented via archival footage of the Hungarian Television and of Fekete Doboz (Black Box).
