Anti-Fascism in Britain is a comprehensive study in which the author approaches his subject in broad terms and offers a wealth of information and interpretation. The history of British anti-fascism is thoroughly explored from its early beginnings in the 1920s through to the present day. There are two chapters on the pre-1945 period in which dramatic episodes such as the "Battle of Cable Street" are covered while in other chapters, opposition to postwar fascism is subject to close investigation.
