Volodya, a fisherman, lives in the Abkhaz village Bambora on the Black Sea coast. The sea is not only a source of survival for Vladimir, but also a refuge from the bustle of the outside world. Children, animals, mountains, grapes - Abkhazia seems to be a paradise but traces of shells on the walls and military helicopters in the sky, a constant reminder of its fragility and Volodya’s darker past.
