Summary
A portrait of the Belarusian town of Khatyn, which lies between Minsk and Vitebsk. Khatyn was one of 186 villages whose entire population was executed by Nazis. From the beginning of the Nazi invasion to the end of Soviet occupation, 209 Belarusian towns and 9,200 villages were burned, and a quarter of the Belarusian population was massacred.
