- Ekstra Bladet is going through the worst crisis in the newspaper's one hundred years of publishing. The world of print media is threatened by the financial crisis, and as circulation figures fall and media economies falter, this Danish tabloid is no exception. Readers have gone online, and no one has yet to figure out how to capitalize on internet-based news. Every day, Denmark's old watchdog, Ekstra Bladet, competes with other newspapers for readers and stories. The battle is fierce, and in the end only the strongest will survive.
