Contents/Summary

Summary
Natasha Yurchenko used to live in a small village before developers decided to rebuild the area. Ominous cranes overlook Natasha’s land at the edge of Kiev, which year after year is being pushed deeper into a pit by new panel buildings. Her family resisted the developments, and now they are trapped between the high-rise buildings. The brave owner protects not only acres of land, but also traditional family values, faith and ownership. This peculiar family business model is set forth in a four-year chronicle documenting the struggle to preserve the way of life that the family has lived for generations. She wants to fight for her home, but conflicts surface in the family. How far will she go defending their home? A film portrait of five years in the life of one extraordinary family in today’s Ukraine.
