For most girls, going through adolescence and becoming free and independent women is a dangerous journey. They face sexual harassment, child marriage, unwanted sexual relations and more. Roxana (Colombia), Encya (East Timor) and Joy (Uganda) represent millions of other girls who are navigating the same journey. The film is told in three languages (Spanish, Lusoga, and Tetun).
