“Painful Peace” portrays four teenagers in Kosovo eight years after the war and takes a glimpse at the international politicians trying to create a peaceful future. But he dreams of going to Western Europe to earn money. Meanwhile, Milica is a Serb girl who fears for her safety every time she leaves the house. Instead, she stays at home and dreams of becoming a pop star. Finally Bislim, an Ashkali boy, wants to escape to America. “Painful Peace” is a film about the shadows of war, the birth of a nation and the challenge of growing up in this area.
