- Summary
- The "gangers" of Moscow Square were students who wore jeans, loved rock and roll, parties and freedom. They were under permanent surveillance by the Hungarian Secret Police. After 1956 many of them were persecuted and jailed. The gang members gradually started fleeing Hungary and soon the Moscow Square gatherings subsided.
