a| Da Nang was a U.S. army stronghold during the Vietnam War and became the biggest commercial port city in South Central Vietnam after the war. On the bank of the Han River two old men are having a conversation on a bench - one of them is Doan, the director’s father who suffers from Alzheimer’s. While he barely remembers what is happening in the present, he has clear memories of the past. In an interview, Doan talks about his experiences during the war and his unwavering commitment to communism.
