He became fascinated with the unknown story of this young boxing world champion, adored by everyone, who was deported to Auschwitz, where he boxed in the camp. Sisley immediately decided to write a story inspired by the young boxer’s unbelievable fate. To discover more, Sisley went to meet the last witnesses to Young’s life.
