The black and white prints of RFE/RL were donated to OSA by the Hoover Institute, California in year 2015. The images are duplicates of those held at Hoover. The originals, and most probably the negatives are with the donor as well. OSA only received the paper prints with captions, and digitized the entire collection in year 2018.

The father is wearing a suit and tie, the elder child is a girl wearing a dress, thick print socks and dark shoes, the younger is warmly clad, has a knitted cap. The children stare in the camera, the father looks at the microphone with the sign RFE held by the journalist of whom only the left arm, thigh and left back part of his head is seen in the picture.
ORIGINAL CAPTION:
Message to Hungary is given by a refugee family over Radio Free Europe. Keeping the homeland countries in touch with their countrymen in exile is an important service performed by RFE.
