The black and white prints of RFE/RL were donated to OSA by the Hoover Institute, California in year 2015. The images are duplicates of those held at Hoover. The originals, and most probably the negatives are with the donor as well. OSA only received the paper prints with captions, and digitized the entire collection in year 2018.

Munich - Five of the world's leading experts on communism met at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty May 19 as members of a panel discussing "The USSR Under Gorbachev: Glasnost and its Implications" before and audience of international media, diplomats and the Radio staff. From left to right are: Vladimir Bukovsky, Russian writer and scientist now at King's College, Cambridge, prominent Soviet dissident, author, lecturer and winner of the Konrad Adenauer Freedom and Literature Prize; Robert Conquest, distinguished author, editor, educator and diplomat, whose books and articles on the Soviet Union have earned wide acclaim; U.S. Ambassador Leonard Marks, who moderated the Seminar; Peter Reddaway, Secretary of the Kennen Institute in Washington, D.D., former Senior Lecturer at the London School of Economics, political scientist and author of numerous books and studies on the USSR; Michel Tatu, journalist, author and specialist on the Communist world, former Le Monde Correspondent in Moscow and Eastern Europe; and Dr. Heinrich Vogel, Director of the West German Federal Institute for East European and International Studies in Cologne and recognized authority on Communist developments.
