- Notes
- The black and white prints of RFE/RL were donated to OSA by the Hoover Institute, California in year 2015. The images are duplicates of those held at Hoover. The originals, and most probably the negatives are with the donor as well. OSA only received the paper prints with captions, and digitized the entire collection in year 2018.

ORIGINAL CAPTION:
Munich - These monitoring antennas at Schleissheim outside of Munich capture radio and television transmissions from the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe, feeding the sound to the Munich headquarters of RFE/RL, where trained monitors keep the Radio's news, research and programming staffs up-to-the minute on what the opposition is - and is not - saying. A separate section screens this huge input for stories of possible cross-reporting value. Did Radio Bucharest mention Transylvania? Then Hungary would be interested.
