Located by an isolated bay, the village consists of a handful of colorful houses owned by Inuit, a school, a graveyard and a small fish processing factory. However, when the latter is closed down, the locals in this tough polar environment lose their livelihoods. Talks on turning the company into a co-op get under way but some – particularly the young – are forced to leave and look for jobs in the city.. The film follows several idiosyncratic villagers, often linked by close family ties, during efforts to get the factory started up once again. It offers hope that even tiny isolated communities can survive and preserve their traditional values in a fast-moving modern world. 580 Verzio Film Festival Submission 655 4 Documentary films 260 United Kingdom, |c2012. 952 |00 |10 |40 |50 |70 |8FL |993021FL |bFL |d2016-11-25 |l0 |r2016-11-25 |w2016-11-25 |yDVD-ROM 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_2969_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9149777FL |bFL |d2019-05-22 |l0 |oFL Record 2969 |pHU_OSA_00004610.mp4 |r2021-11-04 |w2019-05-22 |yDIGIFILM |zAccess Copy, MP4 format |cAudio Visual 920 01 1e26KaeG 966 True |bHU_OSA_00004610 |cDigitally Anywhere / With Registration
