- Ossip Mandelstam said “I would not like to talk about myself, but observe the century, the noise and germination of time. The tongue-tie of the birth weighs upon me and many of my contemporaries. We learned not to speak, but babble – and only by lending an ear to the growing noise of the century and whitened by the foam of its ridge, we acquired the language." This film is an examination of the role of poetry in resistance movements.
