a| The final episode follows Bane, now a freshly graduated lawyer, in a desperate search for his own apartment. He unsuccessfully tries to persuade rich Svetlana to marry him and in the process gets into a major fight with his friend Miki who is also interested in her. Bane even applies for membership in the communist party, but is turned down. In all of his applications he is confronted with the same answer: If he wants to get a state apartment, he has to start a family. Already disillusioned and additionally pressured by these circumstances Bane decides to marry Svetlana’s unattractive friend Biljka hoping that love will eventually emerge between them.
