Contents/Summary
- Summary
- A documentary in search of an endangered ape species: the orangutan. The journey begins in Borne, where the director meets Dutch animal rights activist Dr. Willie Smits, an orangutan expert. Smits is also the founder of the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation (BOS) which has so far saved more than 1300 apes from certain death. With Smits' guidance this film explores the abuse suffered by orangutans, the trafficking, the market and the desperate attempts of animal rights activists to save them.
