The series were commisionedby Army Chief of Staff General Marshall and were initially meant to explain the policy of the U.S. government to freshly recruited soldiers ready to be dispacthed to the battlefields of Europe, North Africa or the Far East. Eventually the "Why We Fight" series was shown to the public in theaters and prints were distributed to American allies in England and the Soviet Union as well. Although designed as a typical documentary film like other parts of the series, "Tunisian Victory" is an intersting example of war-time American propaganda and a good source of newsreels and film footage of the period. 655 |2DC 880 |6245 942 |2ddc |cDVD-ROM 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_0613_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9155673FL |bFL |d2022-01-11 |l0 |oFL Record 0613 |r2022-01-11 |w2022-01-11 |yDVD-ROM |cAudio Visual 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_0613_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9155675FL |bFL |d2022-01-11 |l0 |oFL Record 0613 |pHU_OSA_00002345.mp4 |r2022-01-11 |w2022-01-11 |yDIGIFILM |zAccess Copy, MP4 format |cAudio Visual 920 01 2Xbb9lXz 966 True |bHU_OSA_00002345 |cDigitally Anywhere / With Registration
