- 'Desert Kids' is a documentary about young adults growing up in rural Israel. The Negev Desert not only captures visitors with its spectacular landscape, it's also an area of severe opposites and extremes, a space between two cultures. But both cultures are characterized by strong values, and in both worlds the young people share a feeling of confinement.
