- Summary
- Every family has its secrets. The secrets of the protagonists of this film find themselves in a country which does not exist today. It captures three families who are trying to find the right approach to their own past in the East Germany. Anne, Utz, Matthias and Tine were the same age their children are today when they received stiff sentences in the GDR. Because nobody wants to open old wounds, all four now find themselves torn between a fear of speaking and a desire to communicate.
