Contents/Summary
- Summary
- Serazhedin, a retired military officer from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and his son, Rakhman, share a desire to provide security for the family and to live a dignified life. To achieve this, both have to travel far from home. Serazhedin earns a living driving cars from Lithuania across Russia to Kyrgyzstan. Rakhman occasionally helps his father and works in a hospital in the Siberian city, Tomsk, while dreaming of having a practice in Europe. Both men are strong-willed and ready to face challenges. The film is an immersive observation of the complex survival strategies in the post-Soviet space.
