An increasing number of infertile couples from economically developed countries are turning towards India to find surrogate mothers. The prices in India are affordable in comparison to what they would have to pay in their own homelands (where the procedure may or may not be legal) without compromising on the quality of medical services, which are quite advanced in India. While cutting their costs the couples are still doing a good deed by allowing simple often illiterate Indian women the chance of earning a substantial amounts of money in Indian terms by turning what their bodies are naturally meant to do into a “career.”
