In 1909, in an undemocratic Sweden, a bastard child was born and given the name, Hervor. Her mother was unmarried, and so was labelled a ‘whore’ and exiled from her home. Hervor grew up living in shelters and orphanages, unwanted, and ultimately rejected by society. As an adult she spent her life struggling for social justice and in her old age she tells us her story. Director, Knutte Wester, brings his grandmother's memories to life through hand-painted animation and hopes to unite us, as an audience, through her story.
