Summary
Anice Jee's documentary 'Cross+Words' explores the relationship between the colours black and white. Simultaneously sold as an opposing partnership, black and white collide in every aspect of our lives, whether that be in food, sex or global economy, the two colours have come to co-exist. Within Jee's film, we are introduced to people from different origins and backgrounds who share their thoughts regarding the two units. We start with the simple associations that come to mind when hearing the words, but as the documentary develops, so do the conversations.
