With World War II, eugenics in Germany became more radical : people who were considered unfit to reproduce were now judged unfit to live. The program T4 - using gas chambers - and other actions led to the death of 200.000 people in Germany. But eugenics continued on after 1945 : in Sweden, where sterilization laws appeared in 1935 and were applied until 1976 and in America, where States like Virginia or North Carolina increased their number of sterilizations after 1945. Even in the 1970's, people who were considered as 'unfit' or 'feeble-minded', could still be sterilized against their will. The documentary tells the story of eugenics from an international perspective. 580 Verzio Film Festival Submission 655 4 Documentary films 260 France, |c2012. 041 engdeufraswe |jeng 952 |00 |10 |40 |50 |70 |8FL |993283FL |bFL |d2016-11-25 |l0 |r2016-11-25 |w2016-11-25 |yDVD-ROM 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_3229_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9150281FL |bFL |d2019-05-29 |l0 |oFL Record 3229 |pHU_OSA_00004863.mp4 |r2021-11-04 |w2019-05-29 |yDIGIFILM |zAccess Copy, MP4 format |cAudio Visual 920 01 7elKPVYr 966 True |bHU_OSA_00004863 |cDigitally Anywhere / With Registration
