Situated in the centre of Tallinn, the Bronze Soldier remained in its original location. The statue was erected for the memory and honor of those who fell in the Great Fatherland War of 1947. For Estonian nationalists, this monument symbolized Soviet occupation and the beginning of bloody repressions. In the past 15 years, the Bronze Soldier has been the symbol of being a Russian for many Russian-speaking residents of Estonia, connecting them with Russia and Russian identity. The documentary shows the people who have come together around the Bronze Soldier on 9th of May during 2005 and 2007 and voices their attachment to the monument. 580 Verzio Film Festival Submission 655 4 Documentary films 260 Estonia : |bIN-RUUM, |c2008. 041 estrus |jeng 952 |00 |10 |40 |50 |70 |8FL |992039FL |bFL |d2016-11-25 |l0 |r2016-11-25 |w2016-11-25 |yDVD-ROM 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_2067_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9148025FL |bFL |d2019-04-12 |l0 |oFL Record 2067 |pHU_OSA_00003725.mp4 |r2021-11-04 |w2019-04-12 |yDIGIFILM |zAccess Copy, MP4 format |cAudio Visual 920 01 7elKZGYr 966 True |bHU_OSA_00003725 |cDigitally Anywhere / With Registration
