a| The film follows the political situations in Zimbabwe. President Robert Mugabe, who played a key role in ending colonial rule and liberating his people, was initially hailed as a modern day saviour and national hero. That has all collapsed and turned to despair as citizens are forced to flee, the former breadbasket of Africa has no food, no jobs, no democracy, and has no future. Conditions in the country deteriorated and tensions grew as teachers who had acted as election officials were targeted, tortured, beaten, murdered and disappeared. Through the eyes of the teachers who have been beaten and tortured we follow the course of events as Mugabe and Tsvangirai begin talks and we see if there can be peace in the troubled land.
