Finland, 1938. A young couple buys an 8mm camera and starts filming their lives in Vyborg, a town near the Soviet border. The couple's future seems bright, but the Soviet Union's attack on Finland one year later is set to change their lives forever. He flees to the countryside, while she stays in Vyborg.
