- Pre-Independence India, on the cusp of freedom; suspicion, religious fervour fills the air and then the unthinkable happens: a dead pig is found at the steps of a mosque in the Jalabad, propelling a frenzy of violence that engulfs scores of Hindu, Muslim & Sikh lives in flames. The spark soon morphs into a huge wildfire that leaves destroyed communities and lives behind. The film is based on the book with the same title written by Brisham Sahni.
