Continuation of the series dedicated to the victims of communist terror in the USSR, timed to coincide with the 65th anniversary of October and the 45th anniversary of Stalin’s purges of 1937.
1. Today we will talk about one of the most subtle and lyrical novelists of Russian literature, about Ivan Ivanovich Kataev. The main themes of this repressed and posthumously rehabilitated writer are the preaching of kindness and a humane attitude towards people. Literary critic Arkady Lvov tells.
2. From October 29 to November 11, the “Soviet Cinema Today” festival is taking place in New York at the Carnegie Cinema.
The festival program included 15 films produced in recent years. An eight-week retrospective of Soviet cinema is taking place in other New York cinemas. Narrated by director and critic Genrikh Gabay.

2. С 29 октября по 11 ноября в Нью-Йорке в кинотеатре "Карнеги" проходит фестиваль "Советское кино сегодня".
В программу фестиваля вошлол 15 фильмов производства последних лет. В других кинотеатрах Нью-Йорка восьминедельная ретроспектива советского кино. Рассказывает режиссёр и критик Генрих Габай.
