- Contents Summary
- A short documentary on the civil war in Sierra Leone and the actors involved in it. It starts with the fight for Freetown at the beginning of 1999 when ECOMOG forces, backed by British troops, and with the help of the Kamajors, drove the rebels out of the capital and reinstated Alhaji Ahmad Tejan Kabbah as President of Sierra Leone. The film follows closely the Kamajors fighters (hunters from the bush) armed with amulets and colorful outfits who can supposedly shirk off the bullets of their enemies and who are convinced that their magic protects them from death and injury. The film shows that the Nigerian soldiers are struggling to maintain order amongst them, with many of them looting the towns they have taken from the RUF rebels.
