Notes
The black and white prints of RFE/RL were donated to OSA by the Hoover Institute, California in year 2015. The images are duplicates of those held at Hoover. The originals, and most probably the negatives are with the donor as well. OSA only received the paper prints with captions, and digitized the entire collection in year 2018.

ORIGINAL CAPTION:
Eugene Holman, chairman of the board of Standard Oil Co. (N.J.), who has accepted the chairmanship of the Crusade for Freedom for a second year. Mr. Holman again stressed the immediate importance of Radio Free Europe and Free Europe Press, which are supported by American contributions to the Crusade: "At this moment when Hungarian martyrs are dying by the thousands, it is vitally important that a voice from the free world, supported by the generosity of the American people, be heard behind the Iron Curtain."
