On January 17, in Moscow, in a home for the elderly, the writer Varlam Tikhonovich Shalamov died.
A little about the tragic fate of the writer, whom the Soviet reader mainly knows from his poems, while his main pipes, Kalym Stories, were not published in the USSR. The writer served more than 20 years behind barbed wire, says the presenter.
