a| Nikki is a retired colonel and Flo is the father of Eugen, who is married to Nikki's daughter. The death of Nikki's son provokes an existential inner tragedy within Nikki, who gradually grows annoyed in his relationship with Flo. The movie tells of Nikki's drama of growing old and losing his grip on the world around him, which is changing at a pace he cannot adjust to. An additional personal tragedy for him is the fact that his daughter and her husband leave for the USA, thus leaving him alone with no children. The focus is on everyday life in present day Romania.
