a| In the autonomous region of Chukotka, more than 3,700 miles from the Russian capital, lies the village of Enurmino where villagers struggle to maintain traditional Chukchi culture while challenged by the changing landscape and increasing isolation. The town electrician Boris Gytgyroskhin dreams of harnessing untapped resources to provide the town with energy. Mayor Natalia Rakhtyna brings the community together despite the lack of resources from the government. Director Aleksei Vakhrushev weaves a portrait of Enurmino set in the Russian panorama of walrus hunting, winter preparation, and the village children's departure to a state-run boarding school.
