1960 : a few gypsies puppeteers came from Rajasthan to Delhi. In a few years they founded the most important community of gypsy artists in India, the Kathputli Colony. Today, more than 2800 families - puppeteers, musicians, magicians, snake charmers, bears and monkeys trainers- perpetuate, in this slum grown on a wasteland, the Arts and Traditions of a mythical nation, originating from gypsies worldwide. 2013 : property developers bought back this coveted land and, despite the imminent menace, Gypsies continue living as they have always lived, day to day, sticking together, and this documentary witnesses some of the last magic moments of Kathputli Colony.
