a| Napalm is the story of a memorable encounter between a young Claude Lanzmann, who was a member of the 1958 Western European delegation of young communists visiting North Korea after the devastating Korean war, and a nurse, Kim Kun Sun, who worked for the Korean Red Cross hospital in Pyongyang. Napalm is the only word they had in common. The legendary director of Shoah turns the camera on himself to recount this powerful and fleeting love affair that haunted him for sixty years. As Jordan Mintzer (Hollywood Reporter) puts it, "What results is a unique look at a place and people who we have mostly known through news reports or government propaganda, but rarely in movies through such a human point of view”.
