Through a life-history interview, and with extensive use of archival material, the film gives an insight into the life of an artist, who was born in a Jewish family in Budapest, survived the Holcaust thanks to Raoul Wallenberg, and emmigrated to Paris after the Communist takeover in Hungary. Most memorable sequences of the film are the ones depicting the life of a student of Ernő Dohnányi at the Hungarian Music Academy in the early 1940s and the ones about the life in the Jewish ghetto in Budapest 1944-1945. 542 |fCopyright by Közgáz Vizuális Brigád 655 4 Documentary films 260 Hungary, |c2006. 041 hun 952 |00 |10 |40 |50 |70 |8FL |990974FL |bFL |d2016-11-25 |l0 |r2016-11-25 |w2016-11-25 |yDVD-ROM 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_1088_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9146313FL |bFL |d2019-02-28 |l0 |oFL Record 1088 |pHU_OSA_00002769.mp4 |r2021-11-04 |w2019-02-28 |yDIGIFILM |zAccess Copy, MP4 format |cAudio Visual 920 01 JXKa0BeG 966 True |bHU_OSA_00002769 |cDigitally Anywhere / With Registration
