Desperate for better lives, the Rohingya have been escaping to nearby Southeast Asian countries through illegal smuggling networks. In May 2015, boatloads of Rohingya were left stranded at sea, following collective rejection from Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. Thankfully, fishermen from Aceh — a province in Indonesia — spotted the boats and brought them to shore. Despite having found a place of refuge, the Rohingya are escaping from their camps.
