The program focuses on the Kono district, a diamond-rich region which was targeted by the rebels. It includes footage of destroyed private and public property, and images of the aftermath of the lootings, maiming, raping, and killing of civilians that took place at the beginning of 1998. It also contains footage from February 12, 1998, when the ECOMOG troops arrived to Freetown, as well as interviews with town chiefs and villagers, soldiers, and officials, including Brgdr. Maxwell Khobe (Task Force Commander ECOMOG Sierra Leone).
