The Namibian video, “I Have Seen”, volume two of "Landscape of Memory,” is about the occupation of Namibia by South African forces and their repression of the Namibian liberation movement (SWAPO). This repression fostered fears that the movement was being betrayed from within. SWAPO's response in exile was to detain hundreds of Namibians after accusing them of being spies for Pretoria. The detainees were tortured until they died or confessed on video. The number of those who disappeared in the “operation” is yet unknown. SWAPO has never explained, apologized to, or cleared the names of the detained. 580 Soros Documentary Fund 655 4 Documentary films 260 |c1999. 041 eng 952 |00 |10 |40 |50 |70 |8FL |992568FL |bFL |d2016-11-25 |l0 |r2016-11-25 |w2016-11-25 |yDVD-ROM 952 |00 |10 |2ddc |40 |6FL_RECORD_2547_000000000000000 |70 |8FL |9148889FL |bFL |d2019-04-29 |l0 |oFL Record 2547 |pHU_OSA_00004163.mp4 |r2021-11-04 |w2019-04-29 |yDIGIFILM |zAccess Copy, MP4 format |cAudio Visual 920 01 KXMaxmX7 966 True |bHU_OSA_00004163 |cDigitally Anywhere / With Registration
