Summary
During the 2001 economic collapse in Argentina, seamstresses at Brukman's clothing factory took over operations after the owners had abandoned them. They reorganized the factory using a self-management model, without doubt the most inspiring of many new economic experiments undertaken at the time. Thanks to broad public support, they managed to overcome brutal evictions as well as lengthy legal and political struggles in order to maintain their livelihood and regain their dignity through work. Much more than a simple testimony to the perseverance of these workers, this film presents the adventures of a very human and moving tale.
