- Summary
- Annemie Struyf, journalist and mother of five children, goes back to Kenya in search of the roots of her adopted daughter Hope. She is accompanied by her friend Achieng who found Hope in a desperate and critical condition two years before. They travel through the country from Nairobi to Kabondo, from Mombasa to Lake Victoria. Through slums, beach boys and prostitutes, from the maternity to the rape clinic, they find many answers but are puzzled by even more questions.
