She came from El Salto, Durango, to Lomas de Poleo, in Cuidad Juárez, the most violent border between México and the US. Paula Flores writes letters and narrates her life: the kidnapping and murder of her daughter Maria Sagrario; the search for the assassins and her actions against the feminicides; she fights for the land in El Poleo, where, on the hill, there is a concentration camp; and the suicide of Chuy, her husband. In spite of everything, Paula is a human rights activist, fighting impunity and fear, and always championing peace.
