520    She came from El Salto, Durango, to Lomas de Poleo, in Cuidad Juárez, the most violent border between México and the US. Paula Flores writes letters and narrates her life: the kidnapping and murder of her daughter Maria Sagrario; the search for the assassins and her actions against the feminicides; she fights for the land in El Poleo, where, on the hill, there is a concentration camp; and the suicide of Chuy, her husband. In spite of everything, Paula is a human rights activist, fighting impunity and fear, and always championing peace.
