Summary
This light comedy builds on the chaotic atmosphere of Belgrade in the early 1990s when galloping inflation governed the lives of ordinary citizens. Among those is Milan, a youngster who lives on a Danube raft trying to survive by selling amateur paintings and avoiding the military police in pursuit of young army recruits. When Milan bumps into his old school-friend Moma who works as a security guard in one of the newly emerged banks offering suspicious loans, the idea is born: since the bank is robbing the nation, they will rob the bank. The success of their cunning plan depends on the help of a girl who works in a telephone hot-line located across from the bank. Unfortunately, the girl turns out to be Nadica – Milan’s new girlfriend. Though Milan was completely unaware of her true profession, and his ego is seriously hurt by this revelation, when he reluctantly tells her about their idea, Nadica is convinced that he knew what she was doing from the very start and was just using her. The plan is seriously threatened, but after several unexpected plot-twists, the three of them finally solve their disputes, luckily succeed in the robbery and end up on a sunny island.
