- Summary
- The film follows the fifth Germany chancellor steered the state ship through difficult waters. The arms race between East and West fueled worldwide fears of a nuclear escalation. Inside, the Republic was terrorized by the RAF. He succeeded Brandt as a seasoned crisis manager. His own party has never loved him as much as visionary Brandt, but she has respected him. This film draws the portrait of a man who had to make many lonely decisions.
