- Notes
- The black and white prints of RFE/RL were donated to OSA by the Hoover Institute, California in year 2015. The images are duplicates of those held at Hoover. The originals, and most probably the negatives are with the donor as well. OSA only received the paper prints with captions, and digitized the entire collection in year 2018.

- ORIGINAL CAPTION:
Munich -- Both the Radio Free Europe and the Radio Liberty Divisions of RFE/RL Inc. begin each day with policy meetings, where the directors of each national service discuss major developments and news stories with the Division heads. The meetings establish the thrust and framework for the day's broadcasting. Here RFE Deputy Director James F. Brown makes a point. To his right is RFE Director William A. Buell. (A-1-5) (A-1-8)
